PREFERENCE DIVIDEND NO.171


Notice is hereby given that preference dividend number 171 at a rate of 6% per annum in respect of
the six months ended 31 March 2023 has been declared on 6 April 2023, to all preference
shareholders.

In accordance with paragraphs 11.17 (a) (i) to (ix) and 11.17(c) of the JSE Listings Requirements the
following additional information is disclosed:

    •   The dividend has been declared out of income reserves;
    •   Local dividends tax rate is 20% (twenty per centum);
    •   Gross local dividend amount is 6 cents per preference share;
    •   Net local dividend amount is 4.8 cents per preference share; and
    •   Barloworld has 375 000 non-redeemable preference shares of R2 each in issue.

In compliance with the requirements of Strate and the JSE Limited, the following dates are applicable:

Last day to trade cum dividend                      Monday, 24 April 2023
Preference shares trade ex-dividend                 Tuesday, 25 April 2023
Record date                                         Friday, 28 April 2023

Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Tuesday, 25 April 2023 and
Friday, 28 April 2023, both days inclusive.
