APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Further to the announcement released on SENS on 3 November 2022 and in accordance with
paragraphs 3.59(a) and 6.39(a) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements and Debt Listings
Requirements, respectively, the board of directors of the Company (“the Board”) wishes to
advise shareholders that the current group financial manager of the Company, Mr Burtie
September (“Burtie”), will succeed Mr Cobus Loubser (“Cobus”) as chief financial officer
(“CFO”) of Curro, effective 1 January 2023, and will be appointed as an executive director on
such date.
Cobus will be stepping down as CFO to assume the role of chief executive officer, as indicated
in the abovementioned SENS announcement.
Burtie is a chartered accountant who completed his SAICA articles at Deloitte, Cape Town
before joining Deloitte’s office in Indianapolis in the USA on a secondment. He worked at
South African Breweries as a management accountant at one of its largest distribution centres
in South Africa before he was employed as a Senior Accountant at Woolworths Financial
Services for more than two years. He joined Curro in July 2016 as its group financial manager.
The Company confirms that the appointment was made in accordance with the Board
nomination policy. The Board welcomes Burtie to the role of CFO and looks forward to his
continued and valuable contributions to the Company.
