Curro Holdings Ltd develops, acquires and manages independent schools in South Africa for learners from three months old to Grade 12, and owns and manages the Embury Institute for Teacher Education as to meet the demand for quality schools and educators in the South African context. In June 2016, Curro comprised 110 schools accommodating more than 41 000 learners.

From humble beginnings, today Curro is the largest for profit independent school group in Africa and provides education services to approximately 42 000 learners in 110 schools across South Africa, and most recently in Namibia.
Globally, Curro is among the 10 largest for profit school groups.
Curro's vision is to provide 80 campuses (or 200 schools) that can accommodate 90 000 learners by 2020. We call this our 80@20 vision. To achieve this vision, Curro divided the original brand into six lines of business

Through Curro's wholly owned subsidiary, The Embury Institute for Teacher Education (Pty) Ltd (Institute for Higher Education), we offer accredited teacher education programmes to eligible students wishing to graduate as educators in Early Childhood Education, Foundation Phase and the Intermediate Phase.
Our schools apply 21st Century teaching and learning methodology in classrooms which include the active involvement of technology. This ensures that the educators use effective methodologies to engage learners in all the domains of learning. These domains include the promotion of communication skills, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving.
Written curricula are delivered by educators, our most important asset.
