FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement dated 6 September 2017 in which the
Board of Choppies advised shareholders that Choppies has entered into negotiations with a third party
in KZN, South Africa for acquisition of retail outlets, which if successfully concluded, and subject to
relevant regulatory approval, will result in a transaction that might have an impact on the price of the
Company’s shares.
Shareholders are advised that the transaction is still awaiting regulatory approval and expected to be
concluded before the end of October 2017.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Company’s shares until
a further announcement is made.

The Company’s primary listing is on the Botswana Stock Exchange and its secondary listing is on the
Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
