NOTIFICATION IN TERMS OF SECTION 122(3) OF THE COMPANIES ACT AND
PARAGRAPH 3.83(b) OF THE JSE LIMITED LISTINGS REQUIREMENTS

In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008 and section 3.83(b)
of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that the Company
has received formal notification that BB Investment Company Proprietary Limited (“BB
Investment”), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Bidvest Group Limited, has acquired an interest
in the ordinary shares of Adcock, such that the total interest in the ordinary shares of the
Company held by BB Investment now amounts to 37.83% of the total issued ordinary shares of
Adcock, excluding the class A and B ordinary and voting shares, and treasury shares owned by
a subsidiary of Adcock.

The total of all beneficial interests in the Company’s voting shares now owned by BB Investment
is 32.85%, excluding treasury shares owned by a subsidiary of Adcock.

As required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Act, the Company has filed the required notice
with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
