The independent Trustee of the British American Tobacco Group Employee Trust    
(the "Trust") notified the Company on 25 June 2012 that it had on 25 June 2012  
transferred the beneficial interest in a total of 54,781 British American       
Tobacco p.l.c. 25p ordinary shares (the "Shares") subject to awards granted     
under the British American Tobacco Long Term Incentive Plan (the "LTIP") to the
