NAME CHANGE DECLARATION ANNOUNCEMENT


Following receipt of CMA phase 1 clearance and in anticipation of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales
sanctioning the scheme of arrangement which is intended to implement the recommended all-share merger of
Shaftesbury PLC with Capco, and in accordance with the resolution passed by shareholders at the Capco general
meeting held on 29 July 2022 in respect of the change of the registered name of the Company to "Shaftesbury Capital
PLC", shareholders are advised that the change of name will be implemented in accordance with the timetable set out
below. The below dates and times are anticipated dates and times based on the expected date of completion of the
merger (following the sanctioning of the scheme of arrangement) and are subject to change.

The short name of the Company will change from "CAPCO" to "SHBCAP" and the share code will change from "CCO"
to "SHC". The Company’s ISIN will remain unchanged. The Company will retain all previous trading history and remain
listed in the same sector subsequent to the change of name.

Notes:
1. Provided that the old share certificates have been lodged by 12:00 on Thursday, 9 March 2023. Share certificates
   received after 12:00 on Thursday, 9 March 2023 will be posted within five days after receipt. No replacement share
   certificates will be issued to shareholders on the UK register and existing share certificate remain valid.
2. Share certificates in the name of Capital & Counties Properties PLC may not be dematerialised or rematerialised
   after Friday, 3 March 2023
3. Shares may not be transferred between registers between Thursday, 2 March 2023 and Thursday, 9 March 2023,
   both days included.
