Shareholders were advised on 24 October 2002 of the circumstances regarding     
dealings in the Company"s shares by Mr. G Ravazzotti, the chairman of Italtile  
Limited. The JSE Securities Exchange (`the JSE") has investigated these dealings
and cleared Mr. Ravazzotti of any breach of JSE Regulations. The Company has    
accepted responsibility for not timeously reporting the trades which had been   
advised by Mr. Ravazzotti when such trades were made,  and has put procedures in
place to prevent a recurrence.
