TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT                                   
Italtile shareholders are advised that earnings for the year ended 30 June 2004 
will be approximately 24% to 30% higher than that of the prior comparative      
period.                                                                         
Further details of the above will be provided when Italtile"s results for the   
year ended 30 June 2004 are published on or about 5 August 2004.                
As the results for the year ended 30 June 2004 have not been reviewed and       
reported on by Italtile"s auditors, shareholders are advised to exercise caution
when dealing in Italtile"s shares until the aforementioned results are          
published.
