Waterberg Portion Property (Pty) Ltd (“WPP”), a major BEE shareholder in Wescoal has
unbundled its shares in Wescoal to its shareholders, including 15 174 536 Wescoal shares of the
company to MR Ramaite, the non-executive Chairperson of Wescoal. The unbundling will not
have any impact on the current BEE structure of Wescoal.

In terms of paragraph 3.63 to 3.65 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the following
