UNAUDITED RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2022


1.   SALIENT FEATURES

     From continuing operations

     Revenue increased by 12% to R15 265 million, from R13 649 million in the prior corresponding period.

     Operating profit before capital items decreased by 8% to R1 421 million, from R1 552 million in the prior
     corresponding period.

     Headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) decreased by 17% to 31.0 cents per share, from 37.2 cents per
     share in the prior corresponding period.

     Earnings per share (“EPS”) decreased by 17% to 31.1 cents per share, from 37.6 cents per share in the
     prior corresponding period.

     From continuing and discontinued operations

     Revenue increased by 12% to R15 265 million, from R13 649 million in the prior corresponding period.

     Operating profit before capital items decreased by 9% to R1 421 million, from R1 562 million in the prior
     corresponding period.

     HEPS decreased by 17% to 31.0 cents per share, from 37.5 cents per share in the prior corresponding
     period.

     EPS decreased by 17% to 31.1 cents per share, from 37.3 cents per share in the prior corresponding
     period.

     Net asset value per share increased by 8% to 469 cents per share, from 433 cents per share in the prior
     corresponding period.

     In line with historic practice, the board of directors has not declared an interim dividend.
