Notifications made in accordance with Disclosure Rule 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure Rules and

The Company was notified on 1 October 2014 by the trustee of the British American Tobacco
Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 1 October 2014 the following executive director and other
persons discharging managerial responsibility (together the “Participants”) had purchased ordinary
shares of 25p each in British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the “Shares”) by way of the Partnership Share
Scheme at a price of 3,497 pence per Share.
