NOTICE OF DISPOSAL OF MURRAY & ROBERTS SECURITIES

In accordance with Section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008, as amended and
paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Murray & Roberts shareholders
are advised that the Company has received formal notification that:

    1. clients of Allan Gray have, in aggregate, disposed an interest in the ordinary shares
       of the Company, such that the total interest in the ordinary shares of the Company
       held by Allan Gray's clients has reduced to 15.3515% of the total issued ordinary
       shares of the Company; and

    2. Sanlam Investment Management (Pty) Ltd has disposed an interest in the ordinary
       shares of the Company, such that the total interest in the ordinary shares of the
       Company held by Sanlam Investment Management (Pty) Ltd has reduced to 4.87%
       of the total issued ordinary shares of the Company.
