NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS BY PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERSONS CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH THEM

Mediclinic announces that on 5 December 2016 Dr Edwin Hertzog, Chairman of the Company,
transferred an aggregate of 3,360,579 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the capital of the
Company from Elstelm Beleggings (Pty) Ltd to entities controlled by his children with effect from 1
December 2016. Following the transfer, the aggregate beneficial interest of Dr Hertzog and his family
remains unchanged at 3,754,855, representing 0.51% of the Company’s issued share capital.
