The Company received notification on 9 December 2009 from the Trustee of the    
Lonmin Employee Benefit Trust that an award made on 8 December 2006 under the   
Long Term Incentive Plan vested to the extent of 30.5% resulting in the release 
and sale of shares yesterday, as detailed below.                                
The Company was also notified on the same date by Mr de Bruyn of the same       
information in discharge of his obligations under Rule 3.1.2 of the Disclosure  
and Transparency Rules.
