SALES UPDATE FOR THE QUARTER ENDED 5 JANUARY 2007                               
Lewis is pleased to report another successful quarter, with sales growth        
consistent with the trend reported for the half year ended September 2006.      
Merchandise sales for the quarter ended 5 January 2007 increased by 15% compared
to the corresponding quarter last year, with like for like merchandise sales    
growth of 11%.                                                                  
Debtor collections remain on budget and the quality of the book continues to be 
maintained.
