Stadio’s Provisional Annual Results

Stadio released their maiden provisional results for the year ended 31 December 2017 last week Friday. Stadio unbundled from Curro in October last year and their first set of results were steady.

3 higher education institutions fall under the Stadio brand:

  • The Embury Institute for Higher Education
  • South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance
  • Southern Business School (SBS)

There are 12’976 enrolled students and 28 accredited programmes are offered, with 20 programmes in the process of development and accreditation.

Some of the highlights:

  • 16% growth in students
  • 26% increase in number of graduates
  • Revenue generated R123 million (slightly below top-line forecasts)
  • EBITDA generated less than R500’000 (substantially below top-line forecasts)

Overall, not a bad set of numbers and the growth prospects look very promising.
