TRADING STATEMENT


In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading
statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial
results for the current reporting period will differ by at least 20% from the financial results for the
previous corresponding period.

Shareholders are accordingly advised that:

    -   AOE's earnings per share will decrease by 72.3%, from earnings of 275.9 cents per share for
        the six months ended 31 December 2022, to earnings of 76.3 cents per share for the six months
        ended 31 December 2023; and

    -   AOE's headline earnings per share will decrease by 72.3%, from headline earnings of 275.9
        cents per share for the six months ended 31 December 2022, to headline earnings of 76.5 cents
        per share for the six months ended 31 December 2023.

The unaudited condensed consolidated interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2023 are
expected to be published on SENS on or about 18 March 2024.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed and reported
on by the Company's auditors.
