The Republic of South Africa, rated Ba2 (stable) by Moody's Investor Service Incorporated, BB- (stable) by S&P Global Ratings and BB- (stable) by Fitch Ratings (Hong Kong) Limited, has mandated Deutsche Bank and Rand Merchant Bank, alongside their empowerment partners, Pamoja Asset Management and THEZA Capital, to arrange a series of in-person fixed income investor update meetings in Cape Town on Thursday, 22 February 2024 and Friday, 23 February 2024 and in Johannesburg on Monday, 26 February 2024. This forms part of the National Treasury's regular post-budget investor engagement. The Cape Town leg of the investor meetings will be led by the Director General of the National Treasury, Dr Duncan Pieterse, while the Johannesburg leg of the investor meetings will be led by the Deputy Director General of the Asset and Liability Management division of the National Treasury, Ms Mmakgoshi Lekhethe. The investor meetings will be supported by senior officials from the National Treasury. The Republic of South Africa also welcomes the pre-submission of questions through the respective Deutsche Bank or Rand Merchant Bank representatives, whose details are set out below.
