AMENDMENT OF THE SWITCH AUCTION CALENDAR

The South African Reserve Bank Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) is set to announce its
interest rate decision on Thursday, 25 January 2024 ("IR Decision"), which IR Decision
coincides with the National Treasury's scheduled January switch auction, per the
published switch auction calendar. Given this overlap, the National Treasury would like to
announce the following amendments to the January 2024 switch auction calendar:

   •   Auction date: Friday, 26 January 2024
   •   Settlement date: Wednesday, 31 January 2024
   •   Starting time: 13h00
   •   Closing time: 13h30
   •   Auction results by: 14h30
