TRADING STATEMENT


In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading
statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial
results for the current reporting period will differ by at least 20% from the financial results for the
previous corresponding period.

Shareholders are accordingly advised that:

    -   AOE's earnings per share will increase by between 153.4% and 173.4%, from earnings of 110.8
        cents per share for the six months ended 31 December 2021, to earnings of between 280.6 cents
        and 302.8 cents per share for the six months ended 31 December 2022; and

    -   AOE's headline earnings per share will increase by between 138.7% and 158.7%, from headline
        earnings of 117.3 cents per share for the six months ended 31 December 2021, to headline
        earnings of between 280.1 cents and 303.5 cents per share for the six months ended 31
        December 2022.

The condensed consolidated interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2022 are expected
to be published on SENS on or about 14 April 2023.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed and reported
on by the Company's auditors.
