The notification above was triggered by a decrease in Datatec’s reported issued share capital caused by the JSE adjusting the theoretical maximum listing of scrip distribution shares arising from the Company’s recent Special Dividend to reflect the results of the scrip distribution election as announced on 5 December 2022. It does not represent a material change in the number of shares held by the investor but a theoretical change in the Company’s issued share capital. Datatec confirms that, as required in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Act, the Company has filed the required notices with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
