Notification of appointment of a director

In compliance with paragraphs 6.39 and 6.40 of the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE, the board
of directors of Mercedes-Benz South Africa Ltd (“the Board”) hereby notifies the Noteholders that Mr
Klaus Eser will retire as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, effective 30 November 2022.

Accordingly, Ms Taryn Woodbridge has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Executive
Director of the Issuer with effect from 1 December 2022. Taryn is a qualified Chartered Accountant
(SA) and holds a Masters degree in Taxation from Rhodes University. In her previous position as Senior
Manager: Plant Account and Controlling Taryn was responsible for overseeing all finance aspects
related to the East London Plant including investments, overheads, headcount and efficiencies. She
started at the company in 2004 in the Controlling Division and rose through the ranks of Manager:
Plant Performance and Operations and Manager: Accounts and Tax before being promoted to her
previous position.

The Board thanks Klaus for his contribution in the past three years, welcomes Taryn and is looking
forward to her contribution.
