TRADING STATEMENT

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited (“JSE”) Listings Requirements, a listed
company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes reasonably certain
that the financial results for the period to be reported on next will differ by at least 20% from
the financial results of the previous corresponding period.

The Company hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty now exists that, for the
twelve-month period ended 30 June 2022 (“FY22”):

   -   earnings per share (“EPS”) is expected to be between 7.93 cents and 10.40 cents
       compared to the EPS of 12.35 cents in the previous corresponding period,
       representing a decrease of between 16% and 36%, and
   -   Headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) is expected to be between 7.25 cents and 9.71
       cents compared to the HEPS of 12.30 cents in the previous corresponding period,
       representing a decrease of between 21% and 41%.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by the Company’s auditors. The financial results for FY22 are expected to be
published on or about 14 September 2022. The Company expects thereafter to publish its
consolidated audited annual financial statements for FY22 on or about 23 September 2022.
