ABSA GROUP LIMITED AND ABSA BANK LIMITED: MOODY’S AFFIRMS CREDIT RATINGS AND
CHANGES OUTLOOK FOLLOWING THE CHANGE IN OUTLOOK ON THE SOUTH AFRICAN SOVEREIGN

Notice is hereby given in terms of the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited that Moody’s Investor
Services (“Moody’s”) has on 05 April 2022 affirmed the Ba2 long-term deposit ratings of Absa Bank Limited,
and the Ba3 long-term issuer rating of Absa Group Limited. The outlook on both ratings has been changed
from negative to stable.

This change in outlook follows Moody’s decision to upgrade the South African government’s credit outlook
from negative to stable on 01 April 2022.
