Informative Notice – Unification of BHP’s DLC Structure Further Update BHP (South Africa): Unification of BHP’s DLC Structure - Informative Notice - Further Update 13 January 2022 Further to the FTSE/JSE notice released on 10 December 2021 and the announcement made by BHP on 11 January 2022 regarding the SARB classification, FTSE/JSE would like to provide the following additional information: * BHP Limited will be Inward listed and classified as domestic, but foreign for index purposes. As per the FTSE/JSE Ground Rules, the Strate Register number will be used to determine the free float in all the indices. * Treatment on the effective date (31 January 2022) will be based on the 1 for 1 offer terms only i.e. BHP Limited will replace BHP Group in all the indices. However, in order to make the event trade neutral, the investability weighting will be adjusted to offset the increase in shares in issue. * The free float at the March review will be based on a snapshot of the Strate register taken on 18 February 2022.
