Ms Koeppel, who has signed a four year contract, will be arriving in South Africa from the Netherlands at the end of October. Ms Koeppel has worked for the BMW Group for the last 20 years in various leadership functions and business areas. Her current posting is as Chief Financial Officer of BMW Financial Services BV in the Netherlands. Prior to this she worked as a Chief Financial Officer on the automotive side responsible for 53 markets selling BMW products to importers in various markets (i.a. African markets). Her current responsibilities include controlling, accounting, risk and compliance. Following her graduation in business management and a subsequent MA in politics from Boston University, Ms Koeppel started her career in banking followed by management roles in the aerospace industry. One of her first projects in the treasury of BMW Group in 2000 was to support the Chief Financial Officer of BMW Financial Services South Africa at the time to structure and successfully market an ABS transaction. In her current role she is part of the region, which includes South Africa and thus she is familiar with the country. The Board welcomes Ms Koeppel and looks forward to her contribution to SuperDrive.
