Updated Trading Statement For The Six Months Ended 30 June 2021 BELL EQUIPMENT LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) Registration number 1968/013656/06 ISIN: ZAE000028304 Share Code: BEL (“the Company”) UPDATED TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2021 Further to the trading statement released on 15 June 2021, shareholders are advised that the Company expects to report earnings and headline earnings of between 170 cents and 180 cents per share for the six months ended 30 June 2021 compared with the loss per share and headline loss per share of 48 cents and 31 cents respectively for the six months ended 30 June 2020. As 2020 was an abnormal trading year due to the effects of Covid-19, the Company believes it will provide value if the current performance is also compared with that in the six months ended 30 June 2019 (“pre-Covid-19 comparative period”). Accordingly, the Company’s earnings and headline earnings for the six months ended 30 June 2021 are expected to be between 170 cents and 180 cents per share compared to the earnings per share and headline earnings per share of 165 cents and 164 cents respectively for the pre-Covid-19 comparative period, which is between 3,0% and 9,1% higher than the earnings per share and between 3,7% and 9,8% higher than the headline earnings per share of the pre-Covid-19 comparative period.
