Wrap Text
Toyota Financial Services (South Africa) Limited
(Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa)
(Registration No. 1982/010082/06)
Company code: BITOY
('Toyota Financial Services' or the 'Issuer')

TRADING UPDATE

Toyota Financial Services is in the process of compiling its audited Consolidated and Separate Annual Financial Statements for the year ended 31 March 2021 ('FY2021') and wishes to provide a trading update with regard to its financial performance for FY2021.
The Issuer hereby advises Noteholders that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the Issuer expects its Group Profit before tax for FY2021 to be between R5 million and R30 million. This will be a decrease of between 94% - 99% in the Group Profit before Tax compared to the R544 million achieved for the year ended 31 March 2020 (the 'comparative period').
The decrease in the Group Profit before Tax was driven by lower new business volumes in line with the lower vehicle sales over the same period, and an increase in the credit impairments held as a result of the Covid-19 economic impact on the Issuer.
The financial information on which this trading update is based, has not been reviewed or reported on by the Issuer's external auditors. The Issuer expects to release its audited financial statements for FY2021 on or about 31 May 2021. 24 May 2021 Debt Sponsor
