EXTENSION OF FINANCIAL REPORTING PERIOD IN RESPECT OF THE ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2020


Shareholders are referred to the market notice issued on 7 July 2020 by the Financial Services Conduct
Authority (“FSCA”), wherein, as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the FSCA, inter alia,
granted companies listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (“JSE”) whose financial years end on
30 June 2020 a two-month extension for compliance with various reporting timeframes as provided by
the JSE Listings Requirements (“the FSCA extension”).

Shareholders are advised that MAS will be relying on the FSCA extension with regard to the publication
of its annual report for the year ended 30 June 2020. MAS’ annual report for the year ended 30 June
2020 will be published as soon as practically possible, but by no later than 18 December 2020. MAS’
consolidated audited annual financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2020 and related
Directors’ commentary, as well as its Results Presentation and Company Profile as at 30 June 2020
are available on its website at https://www.masrei.com/investor-relations/company-reports/financial-
results/.
