APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

In accordance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the board of directors of the Company
(“Board“) wishes to advise that Mr Larry Wilson Riddle has been appointed as an independent non-executive director
of the Company as well as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and the Remuneration Committee of the
Company, with effect from today, 28 September 2020.

Mr Riddle is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of
Accounting Science (Honours). He has experience in a wide range of disciplines, which he obtained during his tenure
at Illovo Sugar Africa Proprietary Limited and Illovo Sugar (South Africa) Proprietary Limited in various senior executive
positions. He currently serves as chief executive officer of Emmpact Solutions Proprietary Limited, chairman of Gledhow
Sugar Company Proprietary Limited and as an independent non-executive director at Crookes Brothers Limited. He
previously served as chairman of the South African Sugar Millers Association and retired from Illovo Sugar Africa
Proprietary Limited as Group Corporate and External Affairs Director in 2019.

The Board welcomes Mr Riddle and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
