Shareholders are advised that Etion is currently finalising its results for the year ended 31 March 2020 and advises that headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) is expected to be a loss of between 0.80 and 1.10 cents or more than 100% lower compared to the loss during the corresponding period of 0.53 cents. Earnings per share (“EPS”) is expected to be a loss of between 6 and 7 cents or more than 100% lower compared to the loss during the corresponding period of 0.53 cents. The decrease in earnings can be attributed to the subdued economic environment which contributed to a significant slippage in customer project spend to the 2020 financial year. Furthermore, material, once-off restructure costs related to Etion Digitise and impairments of goodwill and inventory in Etion Connect further worsened the Group’s performance. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by Etion’s auditors. The company’s financial results for the year ended 31 March 2020 are expected to be released during August 2020. 3 August 2020 Pretoria Designated adviser Exchange Sponsors Date: 03-08-2020 09:15:00 Produced by the JSE SENS Department.
