Investec Bank Limited: Credit Rating action by GCR Ratings

Notice is hereby given in terms of the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited that
GCR Ratings (GCR) has on 13 August 2019 reviewed the ratings on seven South African
banks under its recently released new Criteria for Rating Financial Institutions. As a result,
the ratings of these banks have been removed from ‘Under Criteria Observation’ and the
ratings revised in line with the new methodology.

These rating actions reflect a change in the mapping methodology and do not reflect any
change in the fundamental credit quality of the bank.
