Notification of change in auditor to the Development Bank of Southern Africa

On 17 April 2018, the Auditor-General of South Africa (“AGSA”) announced the
termination of auditing contracts with Nkonki Inc. with immediate effect.
Consequently the AGSA has assumed its powers in terms of section 4(3) of the
Public Audit Act, 2004 in relation to the DBSA, Nkonki Inc. having resigned
from its position as external auditors to the DBSA. Both DBSA and AGSA have
implemented a smooth transition from Nkonki Inc. to AGSA which had minimal
disruption to the 2017/18 audit cycle recently concluded. The appointment of
the AGSA will be noted at the Bank’s next Annual General Meeting.
