APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT, NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS TO THE BOARD

Bondholders are referred to the announcement published on SENS on Tuesday, 26 June 2018,
wherein bondholders were advised of a further extension of the term of office of the non-executive
directors of the board of SANRAL (“Board”), (the “Announcement”).

Further to the Announcement, bondholders are advised that the Minister of Transport, Dr BE
Nzimande, announced the appointment of new members to the Board with effect from
1 September 2018 as follows: Mr Themba Mhambi (Chairperson), Alderman Robert Haswell,
Ms Lungile Madlala, Mr Thamsanqa Matosa and Ms Nkareng Mpobane as independent,
non-executive directors.

Mr Chris Hlabisa (representing the Department of Transport) and Ms Avril Halstead (representing
National Treasury) continue as non-executive members of the Board.

Mr Skhumbuzo Macozoma, CEO, also continues as SANRAL’s executive Board member. Mr
Macozoma would like to thank the outgoing Board members for their contribution and looks forward to
working with the new Board members.
