TRADING ANNOUNCEMENT – INTERIM FINANCIAL RESULTS – 30 JUNE 2018 Letshego Holdings Limited (“LHL” / “the Company” / “Letshego”) was incorporated in 1998, is headquartered in Gaborone and has been publicly listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) since 2002. It is an inclusive finance focused Group with consumer, micro-lending and deposit-taking subsidiaries across sub- Saharan Africa. The Listings Requirements of the BSE require Letshego to publish, through the BSE, any circumstances or events that have, or are likely to have, a material bearing on the financial results of the Company for the period to be reported upon next. The Board of Letshego hereby informs Shareholders that: • the Company’s profit before tax for the six month period ended 30 June 2018 is expected to be materially higher (between 15% to 20%) than those reported for the comparative period ended 30 June 2017; • on a profit after tax basis, they are also expected to be materially higher (between 10% to 15%); • the prior period profit after tax results, to 30 June 2017, will be restated for the continuing tax matter as advised to Shareholders on publication of the full-year 2017 financial results. Therefore, the restated profit after tax for the comparative period is P335m rather than P363m. In view of the above, Shareholders and investors are advised to exercise caution and consult their professional advisors when dealing in the Company’s securities until such time as a detailed announcement is made. A detailed publication for the interim results to 30 June 2018 is expected to be released on or about 3 September 2018 following the completion of all internal governance procedures.
