Trading Statement for the six months period ended 28 February 2018 LABAT AFRICA LIMITED Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration number 1986/001616/06) JSE code: LAB ISIN: ZAE000018354 (“Labat” or “the company”) TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS PERIOD ENDED 28 FEBRUARY 2018 In terms of paragraph 3.4(b)(i) of the Listings Requirements of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, listed companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the next period to be reported on will be more than 20% different from those of the previous corresponding period or from a profit forecast previously provided to the market in relation to such period. The Board is pleased to advise that revenue has increased by 170% to R55.61 million from R20.64 million when compared with the prior comparative period. Operating Profit has also increased by 376% to R5.1 million from R1.06 million for the six months to 28 February 2018, resulting in an increase in total comprehensive income for the period by 341% to R4.43 million from R1 million for the six months compared to the prior period. The earnings per share and the headline earnings per share will increase by 338% from 0.39 cents per share for the six months ended 28 February 2017 to 1.71 cents per share for the current six month period ended 28 February 2018 due to the improved performance outlined above.
