DECREASE IN WEEKLY BOND AUCTION LEVELS

In the 2018/19 Budget Review it was stated that the borrowing requirements are set to
decline, leading to a reduction in auction levels. The National Treasury hereby announces
that the weekly auction levels for both the fixed-rate and inflation-linked bond auctions will
be decreased as follows;

    - The fixed-rate bond auction amount will decrease by R900 million, from
       R3 300 million to R2 400 million.
    - The inflation-linked bond auction amount will decrease by R300 million, from
       R900 million to R600 million.

The decrease will be effective for the fixed-rate and inflation-linked bond auctions to be
held on 27 March and 6 April 2018 respectively.
