Steinhoff Investment Holdings Limited (the “Company”)

In accordance with paragraph 3.59(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited (“the
JSE”), shareholders are advised that Dr D Konar has retired as director of the Company with
immediate effect, following his retirement as an independent director of Steinhoff
International Holdings N.V. The Board of the Company thanks Dr Konar for his valuable
contribution during his tenure as independent non-executive director of the Company.
