S&P has revised the Anglo American plc (‘AA plc’) outlook to
positive from stable. BBB-/A-3 rating affirmed.

In accordance with paragraph 4.26 of the JSE Debt Listings
Requirements, noteholders are advised that S&P has affirmed the
senior unsecured ratings of AA plc and its subsidiaries at BBB-
/A-3 and revised the outlook to positive from stable.

Concurrently, S&P has affirmed the company’s long term national
scale rating (‘NSR’) of zaAAA/zaA-1+. AA plc is the Guarantor
under Anglo American SA Finance Ltd’s R20bn DMTN Programme.
