IMPORTANT HIGH GRADE GOLD-COPPER INTERSECTION DRILLED AT PRIESKA ZINC-COPPER PROJECT


    -    High grade gold-copper intersect hints at a depositional centre being intersected in an area previously thought to
         be a distal margin of the deposit.
    -    Drilling continues at the Prieska Zinc-Copper Project with assay results received for another 7 drill holes.
    -    51 intersections, including intersections for metallurgical test work have now been completed in the Deep Sulphide
         Target and its extensions since May 2017.
    -    Drilling substantially completed in the north-west trough zone, Priority 1 target.
    -    Resource estimation now imminent for areas with completed drilling.

Intersections include:

     -    OCOD068_D3 intersected 12.62m @ 3.33% Zn, 2.94% Cu, 2.19g/t Au and 30g/t Ag from 999.42m including
          4.62m at 2.73% Zn, 5.06% Cu, 5.31g/t Au and 55g/t Ag from 999.42m.

     -    OCOD066_D7 intersected 4.10m at 2.64% Zn, 0.75% Cu, 0.13g/t Au and 6g/t Ag from 1,056.90m.

     -    OCOD080_D1 intersected 12.50m at 3.44% Zn, 0.44% Cu, 0.12g/t Au and 5g/t Ag from 1,033.50m.

     -    OCOD087_D1 intersected 11.02m at 3.45% Zn, 0.71% Cu, 0.11g/t Au and 6g/t Ag from 1,109.45, including
          3.55m at 4.17% Zn, 0.30% Cu, 0.04g/t Au and 4g/t Ag from 1,109.45m and 4.47m at 4.82% Zn, 1.32% Cu,
          0.38g/t Au and 10g/t Ag from 1,116.00m.

     -    OCOD101 intersected 7.04m at 3.58% Zn, 1.10% Cu, 0.22g/t Au and 9g/t Ag from 1,079.66m.

     -    OCOD103 intersected 8.40m at 1.99% Zn, 0.65% Cu, 0.08g/t Au and 7g/t Ag from 1,098.00m.

Orion Minerals NL (ASX/JSE: ORN) (Orion or Company) is pleased to announce that a recent thick, high grade massive
sulphide intersection with particularly high grade copper, gold and silver mineralisation provides encouragement for
discovery of further extensions to the already extensive mineralisation at the Prieska Zinc-Copper Project (Prieska Project).
Drill hole OCOD068_D3, drilled on the southern margin of the Northern Western (NW) Trough target intersected
mineralisation and alteration indicative of a feeder zone or proximal depositional vent, rather than the previously interpreted
distal margin of the Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS).

Orion’s geological team is assessing the potential for the use of Down Hole Electro - Magnetic (DHEM) surveys which have
proven successful in discovering extensions in the northern area of the target in order to trace extensions on this new
southern margin of the target.

Orion’s Managing Director and CEO, Errol Smart, commented on the results:
“We continue to be pleased with the drilling and exploration results at the Prieska Project. While the area initially targeted
has yielded greater volumes of massive sulphide than anticipated, allowing us to progress an initial Mineral Resource
estimate, we have also intersected very positive geological indicators for potential discovery of significant extensions and
high grade zones.”

He further commented “That with less than 73% of the original target now drilled we are confident that we will substantially
exceed our original expectations.”

Deep Sulphide Target Drilling Results
Orion has now completed 51 intersections from 23 mother holes into the Deep Sulphide target. The intersections have been
achieved at vertical depths of 974m – 1,193m and have required 9,111m of percussion pre-collar and 32,923m of diamond
drilling, with 141 of directional wedges set to steer the drilling to pre-determined target points. Assay results from 4 more
intersections are awaited while 3 holes are in progress.

Drilling focus is now turning to the Priority 2 target up-dip or hinge zone of the NW Target area, which is technically more
challenging to drill and slower drilling progress is anticipated. Permitting of the SE Target extension is anticipated to be
completed shortly so that drilling can continue to test the strike extent in that area of the target.

Latest Drilling Results

High grade Cu, Au and Ag mineralisation was intersected in drill hole OCOD068_D3. The intersection of 12.62m at 3.33%
Zn, 2.94% Cu, 2.19g/t Au and 30g/t Ag from 999.42m includes a zone of 4.62m at 2.73% Zn, 5.06% Cu, 5.31g/t Au and
55g/t Ag from 999.42m (Figure 3). The hole was terminated early at 1,013m after failing to drill through a development
drive. A further deflection is now planned to achieve a complete intersection.

The high grade intersection in OCOD068_D3 is particularly important as the ratio of Au, Cu and Ag versus Zn, together
with alteration and chalcopyrite stringers logged in the core, is interpreted to be indicative of proximity to a depositional
vent, rather than a distal margin as historically interpreted for this area of the VMS target. The paleo sea floor horizon which
hosts the Prieska deposit has had no drilling for 57m to the south west of the intersection, where the horizon is folded into
an up-dip limb. Only sparse historical drilling was completed between OCOD068_D3 and the SE Target Zone, making these
areas high priority targets for follow up drilling.

Hole OCOD066_D7 intersected 4.1m at 2.64% Zn, 0.75% Cu, 0.13g/t Au and 6g/t Ag from 1,056.90m, 30m from the
intersection in OCOD066_D4 (reported in ASX release of 12 December 2017) in an area where mineralisation was
historically estimated to be between 1m and 2m thick (Figures 1 and 2).

Hole OCOD080_D1, drilled as a deflection from OCOD080, intersected 12.50m at 3.44% Zn, 0.44% Cu, 0.12g/t Au and
5g/t Ag from 1,033.5m (Figures 1 and 2 and Table 1). This intersection is 10m from OCOD080 and serves to further confirm
the value of the DHEM as a tool to follow extensions from known mineralisation.

Hole OCOD087_D1 (Figures 1 and 2) tested the up-dip continuation of the intersection made in the mother hole, which also
tested a northwest-southeast trending DHEM plate modelled on an anomaly along strike of hole OCOD066. This DHEM
conductor, detected in an earlier DHEM survey, (refer ASX release 6 September 2017) suggested that mineralisation was
developed down dip to the south east of the North West target. Additional drilling is now confirming the presence of massive
sulphide mineralisation in this area which has the potential should drilling demonstrate the continuity of mineralisation to
significantly increase tonnages of massive sulphide mineralisation at the Prieska Project. OCOD087_D1 intersected 11.02m
at 3.45% Zn, 0.71% Cu, 0.11g/t Au and 6g/t Ag (Figure 1).

Hole OCOD101 intersected the mineralised zone close to the south-western margin of the North West section of the Deep
Sulphide target. The hole intersected 7.04m at 3.58% Zn, 1.10% Cu, 0.22g/t Au and 9g/t Ag from 1,079.66m (Figures 1
and 2).

Hole OCOD103 was drilled in the north-western part of the Deeps Sulphide Target as an infill hole to improve the confidence
levels for the resource estimate. The hole intersected 8.4m at 1.99% Zn, 0.65% Cu, 0.08g/t Au and 7g/t Ag from 1,098m
(Figures 1 and 2).

Drill hole OCOD107, drilled as an infill hole returned a narrow intersection of 0.60m at 4.06% Zn, 1.33% Cu, 0.19g/t Au and
11g/t Ag from 1,086.30m (Figures 1 and 2).

All significant intersections from surface drilling at the Deep Sulphide Target have been released in ASX releases of 12
December 2017, 8 November 2017, 9 October 2017, 5 October 2017, 19 September 2017, 6 September 2017, 27 July
2017 and 17 July 2017 with historical drilling detailed in ASX release of 18 November 2015. New significant intersections
are included as Appendix 1. All intersections quoted for the Deep Sulphide Target are length and specific gravity weighted,
following the procedure detailed in Appendix 2.

All significant intersections from surface and underground drilling at the +105 Level Target (Open Pit) have been released
in ASX releases of 12 December 2017, 19 September 2017 and 6 September 2017.
