Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Orion Minerals NL (ASX/JSE: ORN) (Orion or the Company) is pleased to advise that
Mr. Mark Palmer has been appointed as a non-executive director of Orion.

Mr. Palmer was nominated by Tembo Capital, a strategic investor in Orion, as its
appointee and will act as a non-executive director.

Mr. Palmer has a B.Sc. in Mining Geology from University College Cardiff and spent 12
years working in Australia, including 8 years with Dominion Mining. In 1994, Mr. Palmer
joined NM Rothschild & Sons Limited in the London mining project finance team
assessing mines and projects globally. In 1997, he moved to the investment banking
team at UBS to focus on global mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing
in the mining sector. Mr. Palmer ran the EMEA mining team at UBS for 8 years. Mr.
Palmer joined Tembo Capital as an Investment Director in 2015.

Orion’s Chairman, Mr Denis Waddell commented “the Orion Board is very pleased to
appoint someone with Mark’s extensive technical, corporate and investment banking
background. Mark is particularly well suited to complement and enhance the Board
composition, as the Company focuses on delivering value to shareholders through
developing the Prieska Zinc-Copper Project together with progressing our large
regional exploration program in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, which
will establish the Company as a significant new participant in the global base metal
sector.”
