RETIREMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
In compliance with the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the
following information is disclosed:
The Board of Directors of Distell (“the Board”) hereby announces that
Mrs LM Mojela and Mr BJ Van der Ross will retire as non-executive
directors from the Board of Distell at the Company’s Annual General
Meeting to be held on 27 October 2017.
Mrs Mojela was appointed to the Board in 2005 and has served Distell
with distinction in a number of capacities, including being a member
of the remuneration and nomination committees and she played an
instrumental part in Distell’s broad-based black economic empowerment
transaction, considered to be one of the most successful broad-based
empowerment transactions.
Mr Van der Ross has also served the Company with great success since
his appointment in 2008. Through his wide-ranging business insights
and his passion for the Company, he has made an enduring contribution
over many years and provided significant strategic contribution to
the evolution of the group.
The Board thanks Mrs Mojela and Mr Van der Ross for their
contribution to the Company and wishes them well in their future
endeavours.
