Amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements – Part 1 of 2016

The JSE made amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements (the “Requirements”) in relation to the
adoption of the King IV Report on Corporate Governance and other governance arrangements,
including a race diversity policy and the publication of a compliance report pursuant to the Broad-
Based Economic Empowerment Amendment Act No.46 of 2013.

Pursuant to Board Notice 87 of 2017 as published in the Government Gazette No.40847, the effective
date of the amendments to the Requirements will be 19 June 2017.

The final amendments to the Requirements are available on the JSE’s website: www.jse.co.za Route:
Companies & Issuer Regulation/Issuer Regulation/Announcements regarding Listings Requirements.

The JSE is working with its publisher to prepare the Bulletin to the Requirements which will
incorporate these amendments.

Please take note of the guidance letter on implementation of certain of the amendments which is also
available on the JSE’s website as advised above.
