This transfer is administrative in nature and has no impact on Anglo American’s beneficial interest in Anglo American Platinum. Specifically, Anglo South Africa Capital Proprietary Limited ("ASAC"), all of the ordinary shares of which are owned by Anglo American, has disposed of its entire 77.69% beneficial interest in the issued ordinary shares ("Ordinary Shares") of the Company such that as a result ASAC no longer holds any beneficial interest in the Company. Anglo American South Africa Investments Proprietary Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Anglo American, has acquired that same beneficial interest in the Ordinary Shares of the Company such that as a result it now holds a beneficial interest in the Company of 77.69% of the Ordinary Shares.
