Investor tour of South African Operations

South32 Limited (ASX, JSE, LSE: S32) (South32) will today commence an investor and sell-side
analyst tour of its South African operations.

The three day tour of the Mamatwan manganese mine, Hillside aluminium smelter and Klipspruit
colliery will conclude on Wednesday 30 November 2016 and will include presentations by
executives from the Africa Region lead team. The tour group will also visit the Richards Bay Coal
Terminal. The various presentations were released to the exchanges between 26 and 28
September 2016 to coincide with a prior tour and are available on our website
