NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that the 103rd annual general meeting of shareholders of Crookes
Brothers in respect of the financial year ended 31 March 2016 will be held at the Durban
Country Club, Isaiah Ntshangase Road, Durban, 4001 on Friday, 29 July 2016, at 11h00.

RECORD DATES

The notice of annual general meeting (“Notice”) has been posted to shareholders of the
Company who were recorded as such in the Company`s securities register on 17 June 2016.

The date on which shareholders of the Company must be recorded as such in the Company`s
securities register in order to attend and vote at the annual general meeting is Friday, 22 July
2016.

It should be noted that as theT+3 settlement cycle will be effective from 11 July 2016, the last
day to trade to be eligible to vote at the annual general meeting will be Tuesday, 19 July 2016
rather than Friday, 15 July 2016 as reflected in the Notice.

Proxy Forms must be lodged by no later than 11h00 on Wednesday, 27 July 2016.
