DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON BHP BILLITON PLC HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND SECURITIES
– (“BILIHA”)


With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of BHP Billiton plc have declared an interim dividend
of 16 US cents per ordinary share payable on Thursday, 31 March 2016 to ordinary shareholders, recorded in the
books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 11 March 2016.
The currency exchange rate will be announced on Friday, 4 March 2016.

In terms of the new Dividend Tax effective 1 April 2012, additional information is required to be disclosed, and
shall be disclosed on Friday, 4 March 2016.


Accordingly, the warrant holders of BILIHA, will receive a BHP Billiton plc dividend amount per security on
Thursday, 31 March 2016 in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the Supplement between the holders and
Investec Bank Limited. The last day to trade (“cum” the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be
Friday, 4 March 2016.

BILIHA Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading “ex” the dividend from the commencement of
business on Monday, 7 March 2016, and the record date will be Friday, 11 March 2016.
