RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR

In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Listings Requirements, ChemSpec wishes to
advise shareholders of the resignation of Mr Gerard Vincent Metzer, as Group
Marketing Director with effect from 1 June 2015. The Company is currently in
business rescue proceedings and any replacements will only be considered subject
to the outcome of the proceedings.

Mr Metzer will remain available to the company as may be required by the business
rescue proceedings in June 2015. The Chemspec board of directors wish to extend
their thanks to Mr Metzer for his contribution to the Company over the last two years.
