Trading Update

In terms of paragraph 3.4 (b) of the JSE Limited (“JSE”) Listings Requirements, companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the
financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by more than 20% from the previous
corresponding period.

Accordingly, a review of the financial results for the year ended 28 February 2015 by management
has indicated that headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) and earnings per share (“EPS”) are
expected to be at least 3 cents per share which is an improvement in earnings of at least 180%
when compared to the previous reporting period (2013: HEPS was a loss of 3.58 cents per share
and EPS was a loss of 3.85 cents per share). A further trading statement will be published during
April 2015 once the company has more certainty with regards to its financial results for the year
ended 28 February 2015.

Revenue for the year ended 28 February 2015 grew from R65,8 million to more than R230 million
as a result of the inclusion of the full year results of Tedaka Technologies (Pty) Ltd, efficiencies
achieved following the successful implementation of the turnaround strategy and the roll-out of the
rail projects that were previously announced.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by Ansys`s auditors. The Company’s financial results for the period ended 28 February
2015 are expected to be released at the end of May 2015.
